SCIENCE LABS
The chemistry, physics and Biology laboratories are an important part of scientific education in our school since the last 80 years. The Bicentenary science laboratories are housed with modern facilities and equipment which make science fun to learn.
COMPUTER LABS
This boarding school in India provides two computer labs for Junior and senior students with fast internet connection to grow digitally. The labs provide easy access to the computers and practically learn the use of computers and other softwares.
GEOGRAPHY LAB
The one of its kind GEOGRAPHY LAB at St. Georges is the far-sightedness of Rev Bro. Tomy Varghese (Former Principal). The lab was conceptualized in the year 2015 and was finally inaugurated on 17 June 2018.
The Geography lab plays a pivotal role in enriching geographical base of a student, a necessary part of learning that exposes students to full spectrum of disciplinary subfields- physical, human and nature-society geography as well as geographical techniques.
The Lab is well equipped with a series of Maps, Topographic sheets and variety of survey equipments like tracing table, thermometers, barometer, magnetic compass, electric globe, anemometer, wind vane, standard time indicator and wet and dry bulb thermometers. CDs, Videos and material related to multidisciplinary aspects of geography topics are also kept in the lab.
Star attractions of the Lab are 3D fiber glass models of various topographical landforms, working and stationary models explaining various concepts which are difficult to visualization. The lab is also in proud possession of fossils of organisms which are over a billion to a few million years old.
CREATIVE LAB
To enhance the latent talents of the students, as the top boarding school in Dehradun, St. George’s College has an innovative venture called CREATIVE LAB. Students get ample opportunity to discover their creative talents. With the future moving so rapidly into digital space, the coming generations are guaranteed to be more evolved and immersed in a world that embraces technology. Students are taught drawing, cartoon creation, digital & freehand painting, design fundamentals, commercial art, photography, image editing, videography, video & audio editing, acting & cartoon animation, clay sculpting, 3D animation, fashion illustration and game designing.
MUSIC ROOM (Torrins)
St. George’s College believes academic excellence and students success is closely tied to their all-round development, for which music education plays a pivotal role. With advancements in computing, internet, and mobile connectivity St. George’s College has joined hands with TORRINS to provide Music education to its students through its world-class curriculum. We have set up 4 Rooms for Drums, Guitar, Piano, and Vocals so that the students have all the options available to them, with the student to instrument ratio being 1:1. Students get opportunities to learn practical and theory. Students get the opportunity to develop their skills in whatever instruments they prefer to learn.
